    Hello everyone! I installed deepin v20 beta and noticed that when I start some applications, their icons in the icon tray appear duplicate. After looking for a solution, I found this post that deals with the same problem in deepin:

    But, unfortunately, there is no solution there.

    Has anyone who has faced this problem found a solution?

    It is because you have Chrome installed. Uninstall Chrome and use Chromium.

    But I think this kind of issue usually happens on apps based on electron, and seems that most apps of this kind depend on libappindicator1 or libappindicator3-1. If I remove libappindicator, then I have to remove all these apps...... Is there any better solution？

    Unfortunately I cannot uninstall chrome. Did it work for you?

    I don't have Chrome installed, but I have some electron apps, and I don't suffer with this issue with Chromium.

    This also happens to me in Deepin UOS and in the updated Arch Linux and Arcolinuxb-Deepin Distros.



    Sometimes they don't leave the taskbar. They just close by restarting the computer.

    I did a test on a virtual machine and, again, the icons appear duplicated in the icon tray even without chrome installed.

    If this phenomenon dosen't happen on v15.11, then issues may caused by the new dde-dock and its plugins......

    Yes, I used these applications in deepin v15.11 and this strange behavior did not happen.
