Hello, everybody

i tried install linux dual OS with Mac OS on my Mac pro. And have some experience to share.

Firstly I tried install fedora . Fedora 22 is beatiful, and adapt to the high resolution Retina screen (2880 * 1880 )quite well.
However, there are some big problems with it. It doesn't support wifi bcm4360 on mac.
I install the driver manually, then the machine fail to boot up.

Then I tried deepin as a rescue. What a surprise, the wifi works quiet well.

I think deepin OS does a lot of job to achieve better compalibilty , both on software and hardware.
like youdao html app as native application, QQ, and Chinese input method.

however, deepin seems not support 2880 * 1880 high resolution well. the icon and font is too small. I have to degrade it into 1680 * 1050
I think deepin can do more work on it.

Thanks for your feedback. The high resolution Retina screen support should have been in the plan. The accurate information is kept by deepin team. Wait for their reply……

And if you install Deepin in English, there will not be QQ and Chinese input method for non-Chinese users.

hi, guys

another problem with deepin on mac proc , resume fail after suspend, the screen is on, however, can't input anything,no response.
seems there are some driver issue with the linux kernel on mac?

anyone meet the same problem?

我们目前没做dpi的优化，主要是人手和没找到好方法

We have not optimized DPI becaus we have not found a good way to solve it. And we lack manpower at the moment.

it is not easy for figure out right DPI setting for retina screen. I remember when we designed android phone for Lenovo, we met the similar problem. As last we suggested to redesign the fonts or degrade to lower dpi.

it takes time.

They gonna change it in 2015.1, I am also experiencing the same issue with my mac. Due to the fact that 2015 is currently based on debian, the wifi may not work very well, you will have to download built-essentials and drivers from broardcom(I think they will solve it since it reported this).
